Attending Our University
Open Learning University (OPENLU)
Bachelor’s Degree
- Completed Application form for admission (hard copy) or completed Online Application for admission. Register online at APPLY NOW
- Certified official copy of Certificate of High School, the 5th and 6th-grade transcripts from a recognized High School/Institution.
- A copy of the identity card or Passport.
- A copy of the birth certificate.
- A copy of the certificate of civil status.
- A copy of the certificate of physical fitness and medical examination by a well-recognized hospital.
- Two letters of recommendation, one from the head of the establishment (former institution) and another from his local teacher.
- Four passport size photos.
Master’s Degree
- Completed Application form for admission (hard copy) or completed Online Application for admission. Register online at APPLY NOW
- Certified official transcripts and diploma official copies for the completion of the Bachelor’s degree diploma.
- A copy of the identity card or Passport,
- A copy of the birth certificate.
- A copy of the certificate of civil status.
- A copy of the certificate of physical fitness and medical examination by a well-recognized hospital.
- Two letters of recommendation, one from the head of the establishment (former institution) and another from his local teacher.
- Four passport size photos.

For International student
- Complete the registration requirements and submit the required documents to the immigration services to receive a student visa. The university liaison service is there to make it easier for international students to get their visas on time.
- The student must consult the Embassy of DR Congo before leaving his country of residence.
Note:
- All translation should be certified by the state or embassy.
- Scan in one file your documents and send by e-mail to admissions@openlu.org or complete the online registration at APPLY NOW
Application Procedure
- Obtain an application from any representative of the university wherever you are or online at APPLY NOW.
- Fill the form correctly and attach copies of all your education certificates and documents along with the application fee as stipulated in the application
- Send all the documents by email admissions@openlu.org or to the Registrar’s Office. If your application is accepted, you will receive a notification-of-acceptance letter from the Registrar. You may come to the university only if you have already received the acceptance letter.
- Make sure you have a valid email and mobile phone number.
